System Partners

General Information

One-Stop Partner Programs

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is landmark legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation’s public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

WIOA integrates the services of 17 Mandated Partner Programs through a network of American Job Centers, a network of Eligible Training Providers and encourages additional partners.

Contracts for WIOA Service Providers are awarded through a competitive procurement process, which occurs every few years with the publication of a Request for Proposals (RFP).  To find out when an RFP has been released, you may check our website regularly under the “Current RFPs”. On that same page you can request to be included on our RFP notification list.

To assist new organizations who are applying to become a WIOA Title I Service Provider for the first time, Workforce Connections will host periodic “RFP 101” sessions, which provide an introduction to WIOA Title I funds and an overview of the procurement process.  Additional details regarding these sessions are posted on our website as they are scheduled and emailed to all RFP notification recipients.Title

Eligible Training Providers

Our Eligible Training Providers are training institutions who receive WIOA funds to provide training to WIOA participants. Once approved by Workforce Connections and Nevada’s Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation (DETR), the training provider is placed on the state’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL).
